PlantFit Training Studio is located in Portland, Oregon at 210 SE Madison St., below the Hawthorne Bridge. It is home to a community of motivated individuals that are driven towards the pursuit of health and fitness. Fitness demands of every individual vary by degree, not by type. Our training is unconditionally scalable and can be utilized by everyone, regardless of age, gender, or experience. We embrace a plant-based approach to nutrition. We live by example, not by coercion.
With every person that walks through our door, our community will grow, transform, and redefine any limitations that were previously perceived. We invite you to join us, share in our community, and be part of this change.
Coach/Owner: Ed Bauer
Ed Bauer began his journey into fitness in 1995, with encouragement from his father, a competitive power lifter. This is when he learned the importance of exercise on overall health. He became vegan one year later after learning about the inhumane practices that are involved in raising animals for food. Combining these two interests led to an understanding of plant based nutrition and sports performance. In 2005, he got his first “fitness” job working at the front desk of a small gym. By taking care of himself through fitness and nutrition on a plant-based diet, awareness was spreading around him. It became clear that he could spread compassion and enlightenment through his success on a plant-based diet. This has been his passion ever since. With over 6 years of personal training experience, Ed now trains multiple Strength and Conditioning Group Classes, as well as Private Coaching. As a Fitness Nutrition Coach, he offers counseling on how to lose fat, increase muscle, and obtain optimal health and wellness on a plant-based diet. He is continually evolving as a coach and an active member of the community. He can be reached at email@example.com.

What is your goal?
If good health and fitness are your goals and you want to have an enjoyable time achieving them, then I want to help. This takes time, effort, and support. Together we can be a team for your success! I am able to work with you one on one, in a group training session, inside a gym or outside (rain or shine). I have experience with suspension training (TRX/Jungle Gym), Gravity beds, boot-camp, spin bikes, and of course free-weights and machines.
I am nationally certified through NAFC, as well as a student of Kinetic Integrations (applying exercises to learn/relearn proper stabilization & movement). During my personal health and fitness journey I dropped 80lbs in a year, prepared for athletics, and strove to maintain a path of healthier day to day life. With persistence, practice, and patience it has become a natural way of life. Currently, I am finishing my coarse work to apply to a Physical Therapy program.
